Uganda’s president signs controversial new anti-gay law
BBC News: Uganda’s President Museveni has signed into law a controversial anti-gay bill that toughens punishments for homosexuality in the African country.
Homosexuality is already illegal in Uganda but the new law means those convicted would face years in prison, the law also makes it a crime not to report gay people.

More than 100,000 sign White House petition to deport Bieber
The petition, created on Jan. 23, on the White House’s We the People site, has met the threshold for a response from the WhiteHouse.
Bieber is in the US on a special visa given to high-profile individuals. The petition also asks that Bieber’s green card be revoked.
